Poor Lydia! Her 8th grade team is off to Camp Idahopi for the team-building experience today, and wouldn't you know it? We get RAIN for the first time in nearly 10 days! It's now 11am, and the skies have cleared a bit, but it was coming down pretty steadily when I drove her to school this morning. Hope she doesn't come home sopping wet....
Good talking to you this morning! It's great just to hear your voice, and get a taste of what your college life is like. And man, are you lucky to have no classes every Tuesday! Don't get too used to it -- can't imagine that you'll always be able to schedule your classes to have a day off!
Dad's at the CTC today and Thursday for recording sessions, as I mentioned yesterday. But they're having major technical difficulties today; two hours into the scheduled session, and they haven't been able to record a note yet. Something about the synthesizer track that Victor laid down last week being in completely the wrong key for the sheet music he gave to the other musicians - not a good thing! In a weird sort of way, though, it's a GOOD thing that they are running behind. It means that in all likelihood, your dad and the others will have to come back a third day to get all the recording done.
BTW, we got the T-Mobile bill for last month, and there weren't any problems with going over the 500-minute limit. So for the time being, we'll stay on the same plan as per usual. I'll keep monitoring the minutes, and if it looks like we're pushing the ceiling before the month is up, I'll switch over to a higher amount and let you know.
Lydia and I have reached an agreement on Halloween costumes this year. When I pointed out the fact that purchasing all of the fabric and notions for the costume pattern she had chosen was going to cost me over $60, and that she could pick out a costume on-line for half that price, we agreed to go on-line. There were way too many skanky, overly sexy costumes, as per usual, but we found a tantalizing Pirate Wench at an acceptable price. I think the tipping point was the fabulous pirate hat trimmed in lace - I told her I had a curly ostrich plume we could tack on for effect!
Other than that, no news on the home front. We'll keep you posted.
Hugs,
Mom

Oh Boy... Lydia as a sexy pirate... I guess I should have expected that. Haha. I really jelous of the hat though :( I would I were that lucky. Oh well I just hope mine will be just as cool.
I am taking advantage of each and every one of my Tuesdays... I will start having Chem recitations from 7-8 starting next week though :( Thankfully they are not every week, only when Shapiro decides we need them.
I don't know why but Tuesday skating is my best day of the week. I had a great day today. No funny business at all. I'll take it I guess. :)
Lots of love
