I am the Coupon Queen!!!

Hold your breath: $82.02 in coupon savings today at Lund's.

Ta da! Can I plan a grocery expedition or what! Lund's was still featuring their BOGO sale on the good stuff: salmon, pork tenderloin, pork chops, chicken breasts, bread, chicken noodle soup, mozzarella cheese, mushrooms, orange juice, smoked turkey for sandwiches. I stockpiled enough meat in the freezer to tide us over at least two weeks, probably three. Can you tell that I'm pumped????

On the down side, news from Jen & Tom in the CT - Jennifer tendered her resignation from her job on Friday (long ongoing saga with psychotic, underhanded boss) and is now trying to negotiate a severance package with HR. Dana was at the pediatrician's on Thursday for a routine check up, and the doctor heard a heart murmur, and found out that Dana is anemic. So they have to take her to a proper cardiologist for evaluation (most likely an echocardiogram, not an invasive procedure, more like a moving x-ray picture), and put Dana on vitamins. I suspect that Dana is anemic because she's been nursing too long and needs some proper food. Give that poor child a hamburger, for Pete's sake. But all of this is obviously stressing out the grandparents and the parents....

This will just be a quickie post for the morning - I'll try to put up a few photos of the dining room progress after dad & Kevin finish working for the day, and maybe a few photos of my new sewing projects....for now, toodles!
love,
Mom

Boy o boy here she comes faster than a speeding bullet it's super saver! haha But in all seriousness that is awsome. I love feeling like I'm getting free money.

That is really too bad for Dana. I hope it doesn't turn into anything serious! This is probably the last thing that Jen and Tom need. Well I hope that everything goes okay. I'm sure it will.

So I cannot wait to call you tomorrow afternoon and tell you all about my date. I think it is a date because Owen made a comment (on facebook) about the winter and he said "there is a good chance we might still be dating in the winter and we can take walks and sip hot cocoa" ... So I don't know this could turn into something.

fingers crossed (he would also be great to have as a friend)
