I've updated the Cinderella Ballgown Saga blog, with new photos and new text.

Coming down the home stretch, now. Only the zipper to install and the crinoline to make. The plan at the moment is to ship everything off on Sunday or Monday since the big Halloween party at Grandma Pat's is on Sunday the 26th, and Miss Amelia is very anxious to see her outfit for the party....
All's quiet on the homefront for MEA weekend. As anticipated, Lydia spent the afternoon with new friend Ella (who lives just the other side of 60th Street, on Drew), first at our house then at the mall through dinner, and then back to our house until 9pm. Let me tell you, Lydia's got one helluva basement clean up to accomplish before I get home tonight!
Watched the Red Sox-Tampa Bay game last night - oh man, what a thriller! I ducked out early when the Red Sox were losing 7-1, figuring that in the 7th inning and losing that badly, it wasn't worth watching the end. But they came back in the 8th to tie it 7-7, and then won it 8-7 in the bottom of the 9th to stay alive in the series - unbelievable!
Got a telemarketing call from an earnest UVM freshman last night, too, asking for our donation to support the annual capital campaign. I don't know what kind of good shit these fundraisers are smoking, but this kid was reading from his script, trying to convince me that I should be willing to donate $250 per month for the next three years, to the tune of $3000 per year! I told him gently that as an out-of-state parent, my capital donation was going to have to take the form of tuition payments, and that there was no way in hell I was going to sign up for an extra $3000 per year in payments! Sheesh.....what do they think we are, made of money?
Hope you have really nice weather for your ballroom dance on the weekend - can't wait to see pictures, too!
Love,
Mom

That is so funny that you would mention the Red Sox game! The suite below us was watching the game and it was really hard to fall asleep. They were making so much noise but it doesn't really matter.
The costume looks really great! If I were Amelia I would be so pumped to get it.
Good luck with Lydia this weekend. I hope she gives you some time in the basement this weekend.
